CIO & C-Suite conference to focus on digital tax shift

The CIO & C-Suite conference and awards 2025 will be held on November 22, focusing on the digital tax shift.

The event, billed to take place in Lagos, will be addressing the fact that   technology adoption in tax administration improves compliance, reduces collection costs and increases revenue. Rwanda’s Electronic Single Window and Kenya’s iTax platform stand as successful examples.

Nigeria has followed suit with TaxPro Max, launched in 2021 and from August 1, 2025, enterprises with turnovers above N5 billion have been mandated to adopt real-time e-invoicing. The legislation is in place, the platforms are live, but critical questions remain: Are organizations adopting the right technology and do they have the systems, skills and strategies to make these reforms truly work.? The conference will confront these questions directly. The event aims to bridge the widening gap between policy and execution, the space where enterprises either thrive or struggle.

According to the organisers, the programme will bring together Africa’s top CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, CCOs, CROs, CDOs, policymakers and digital pioneers to exchange practical insights on building smarter, more agile systems for a rapidly changing business environment.

Speakers lined up include some of the continent’s most respected thought leaders. Ayodele Subair, Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), will deliver the keynote address on “Building a Smart Tax Ecosystem.”

Also to be featured are Premier Oiwoh, CEO of Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) and Olukunle Ogunbamowo, Tax Partner at Deloitte, alongside several distinguished experts who will lead discussions on the topic, “Tax Meets Tech: Africa’s Leap to a Digital Economy.”
